The Link School

Why Link?

The Link School is about discovering: your identity, your community, your place in the world, and your relationship with the Divine.

Graduates of Link will be linked to the Divine, engaged learners, prepared for life, and contributing citizens. Read more about our Link Outcomes >

“Through my years at Link I learned to challenge myself each year more and more. I was scared of every activity we did here at Link. Now I am the person that is running into the storm instead of running away from it. Now I am the person that looks at days with open doors to make memories. Now I am the person that wants to wake up and make a change in the world.”

Brian, 2019

Handcrafted Education

Staff at the Link School are experienced, compassionate, adventurous role models who not only provide an excellent academic education but also lead outside the classroom. Staff and students build mutual respect by taking on projects and traveling the world together.

Class sizes of four to six students means a lot of horsepower per student. Staff provide rigorous academic opportunities catered to each student and foster their curiosity, growth, and understanding.

Link staff do not view students as empty vessels waiting for teachers to fill them with knowledge. They facilitate, teach, and partner with students as learners and co-conspirators in the quest for understanding, and they develop students’ ability to think for themselves. Link staff also share what they are working on professionally and personally, and mentor students in their own projects.

“For every student that I have encountered at Link, I have caught them with a look on their face that says, “Oh, this is what’s possible! This is what I’m capable of doing, how I’m capable of living.” Because of moments like these, I find Link to be a profoundly empowering and inspiring place to work.”

Makenzie, staff member

Limitless Discovery

“I have had an amazing year in so many ways. I have grown spiritually, academically, physically, and have caught a glimpse of the path I know I want to be on in my life.”

Sarah, 2009

The Link School nurtures a community of compassionate, selfless, and confident learners.

Many of our students come to Link because they are seeking an alternative to their high school, home environment, or social life. Each day, they have the opportunity to learn about themselves, serve others, and find their growing edge.

Whether it’s mastering a class subject, tackling a new rock climbing route, or learning carpentry skills, our students embrace challenges that excite and push them. Our staff lead by example and are always growing themselves. We all learn from our mistakes, respect those around us, and discover more about our true, spiritual selves.

Beyond the Classroom

Studying sea turtles on the beach in Baja. Researching the history of democracy in Turkey. Joining a Mayan fire ceremony in Peru. At Link, the world is our classroom.

While we cherish every moment on our campus in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, we travel the globe to expand our sense of education. As we travel, our staff and students deepen their understanding of and respect for each other and others. Together, we conquer our fears, lean on God, and broaden what we’re capable of.

“If I had tried learning Spanish in any other setting, I wouldn’t have grown nearly as much as I have the past two years. Having the opportunities to travel to Spanish speaking countries and learn in a truly experiential manner has been the largest catalyst for learning the language. Two years ago, I wouldn’t have pictured myself scaling a glaciated, Andean peak in Peru, or having Spanish conversations with friends that I had made in Mexico.”

Living on Campus

Link is much more than just a school; it’s a basecamp, a playground, a spiritual sanctuary, and a home for our students and staff.

Students live in our beautiful lodge and are responsible for cooking their meals, doing laundry, cleaning and maintaining the property, and other chores as part of our community. Because we operate like a family, we address and resolve interpersonal challenges and continually seek out the best in each other.

As we live, study, adventure, and pray together, our students engage with, build upon, and demonstrate our community principles and guidelines. From integrity to compassion to grit, we live our best lives here.

“I didn’t know that what I would get out of The Link School was a second family, people who would see me as limitless and as a woman who could reach to the stars or maybe even past them.”

Daily Schedule

Each day looks a little bit different at Link, but we structure them to maximize our spiritual growth, focus on academics, and outdoor explorations.

Christian Science Practice

As students of Christian Science, we cherish every chance to learn and apply spiritual truths. From daily study of the weekly Bible Lesson to experiencing significant healings while journeying across the globe, we seek to live Christian Science in every way.

“I have begun to realize that my prayer can affect people and situations. It’s really become natural and easy for me to turn to God with my every need because I know it’s effective.”

Jess, 2009
