History Instructor
I’m thrilled to teach history again after retiring from public school in Texas in 2025. I graduated from Principia College with a double major in Education and History and earned my Masters in Education from Marygrove College. I’ve taught middle school English and history in multiple states over a 25 year career. History is where my heart feels most at home and my mission is to bring this subject to life for students and show them how fun and interesting history can be. Depending on the day and era of study, I may be in costume and/or have historical artifacts for my students to investigate.
My son graduated from The Link School in 2025 and has said many times that completing his education here was the best decision of his life. I agree! I’m grateful for the opportunity to experience such an amazing place and to share it with my students.
Since moving to Buena Vista, I’ve had some amazing adventures spending time with my son. To name a few, I peaked my first 14er – Mt. Elbert, got dumped in the Arkansas River while duckying, and learned how to ski (kind of)! When not adventuring with my son, I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, coffee dates with my sister, scrapbooking, reading a good book or looking for opportunities to go on “history nerd” trips with family.
