The Link School sits on 120 acres of land in central Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. As a basecamp for education and adventure, our facilities include a mountain lodge, outbuildings, workshop, horse corral, and classrooms with stunning mountain views.

Our backyard
Mountains, canyons, and trails stretch out from our back door. The Arkansas River runs nearby, and our students and staff explore our beautiful region by foot, bike, horse, and raft — we work hard to earn our P.E. credits! Each month, students plan and complete a week-long wilderness trip, taking full advantage of the natural resources around us.

Our neighbors
Adventure Unlimited Ranches are our neighbors to the south, and in the nearby town of Buena Vista, our students have the chance to give back to the community.

Our global campus
Whether it’s cooking over a fire in South America or studying sea turtles in Baja, we are global citizens that seek the chance to learn from the world around us. Each year, students embark on a month-long expedition to a foreign country to study the language, expand their sense of classroom, and take on backcountry adventures.

Our buildings
We’re often tinkering with, building, and improving the facilities we call home. From Link’s original one-room tent to our current eight-bedroom lodge with a commercial kitchen, we’re committed to providing spaces for our students to learn, connect, and reflect. We’ve built our facilities with environmentally-friendly materials and use both solar and wind power.
