The Link School

Putting our Spanish to the Test

Today we woke up excited for another day in Todos Santos! We’re very thankful to the people that have served us breakfast everyday this week, providing a lovely start to our days. We had some peaceful spiritual prep time to prepare us for the rest of the day.

Today was our second to last Spanish class, and we got to do some fun real-world activities with all the classes grouped together. We started the morning of classes together in the kitchen where we learned from our teachers how to make tortillas and nopales. Then we went for a walk to see a view of the beach while only speaking Spanish. Both of these activities prompted us to learn and incorporate lots of new vocabulary.

After a delicious buffet lunch, our afternoon was full with a fun scavenger hunt all over Todos Santos. This is a Link School tradition, and it challenged us to practice even more Spanish as we had to accomplish tasks and converse with locals and native speakers. We also got to celebrate Bridger’s birthday here in Baja, which was very fun. We’re all very thankful for the time we’ve spent in Todos Santos and for the support fro   m the community back home. We had a fun end to the day with a quick debrief sharing birthday cookies to celebrate Bridger.
