The Link School

Individual Projects

Here at The Link School, we emphasize education in an environment that cultivates curiosity, self-directed learning, collaboration, resourcefulness, and problem solving.

Link students take on individual projects that excite and challenge them. With mentorship from an adult, our students broaden their knowledge, develop tangible skills, and set and meet goals. Link staff or others from the local community serve as mentors for our students.

Student projects have included:

“When I first came to Link I was scared I wouldn’t be as good at program activities (climbing, biking, boating, etc.) as some of the returning students. I felt intimidated by their skills and therefore intimidated by them. I wasn’t sure I was going to be accepted, and that scared me. As I look back, I realize I no longer feel as intimated by my peers anymore. I’ve learned to accept who I am and where I am.”
