Day Dos en Mexico

The first half of today looked similar to yesterday, with a delicious breakfast, a fun and demanding Spanish class, and, of course, the stoke of being in México. After an amazing lunch of quesadillas con carne and speaking Spanglish to one another, we headed out for a beach day.

Today’s beach, Las Palmas, is home to hundreds of Palm trees, tres horses y muchas, muchas pájaros. We enjoyed swimming in the warm water as we jumped above and dove below the crashing waves. Dos bonitas montañas were outlined north and south of la playa, adding to the extraordinary view. Our beach day was cut short as the winds grew stronger, but our group was quick to adapt as we relocated for our journaling and reading time back at Quinta Santa Rosa to reflect on this beautiful day. Just two full days into this trip, I already feel more knowledgeable about Español, connected to the people around me, and eager to learn about this community.
