Greetings from Mexico. The Link School is honored to have you joining us for our 2026 Baja trip. Today was the first full day of the trip! We woke up and got the day started with a delicious breakfast made by our cook Iker.
Once we finished Spanish class, we went into town to have lunch at Quesadilla Muñe. Those quesadillas were amazing! We also got to see one of our favorite Baja dogs, Roco.
After we finished lunch we went to have our Baja California Sur history class with Sergio. We got to learn about the laws of the Indies, the Age of Exploration and how it impacted the world, and how Baja California was colonized. Sergio is very funny and knows a lot about what he was teaching us. We then went to get ice cream at our favorite ice cream shop, La Paloma!
Once we were full on ice cream we went to one of our favorite beaches, La Poza, where we got to do some journaling on how being in Mexico made us feel and how it connects us to the larger world. We played at the beach for a little bit, and then went to dinner. We had dinner at Poblano’s and then came back to our hostel for debrief and bed time. We had such a wonderful first day, and we can’t wait to have more! Thank you all for joining us on our trip as we continue to explore Baja Mexico!
